Marco Brambilla: Civilization

Marco Brambilla’s video installation Civilization lives in the elevator of the Standard Hotel in New York. As you ride up or down, you look through a portal into what appears to be a journey from hell to heaven (or vice-versa if you are going to the ground floor). This is an incredible piece of art. Reminds me of Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights – on steroids.
